By the pricking of our thumbs, something wicked this way comes…

One week ahead of San Diego Comic-Con, the upcoming Netflix Archie Comics adaptation Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has launched its own Instagram account. So far the account has posted official promo art and comic art inspiring the new Netflix series as well as a set video of star Kiernan Shipka leading the cast to welcome fans to their “coven”.

Inspired by the horror-tinged relaunch of the same name by writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and artist Robert Hack, the series has received a two season commitment from Netflix with the first season expected to premiere on the streaming service later this year. The adaptation is developed for television by Aguirre-Sacasa who will also executive produce the series.

While a crossover between the new show and fellow live-action Archie adaptation Riverdale is not expected at this time, the official Archie Comics Instagram account posted a montage of ominous comic art from the series’ source material teasing sinister sorcery and black magic for the series’ setting in Greendale.
